Anna Hailey, Co-Owner/Veterinarian

Broken Spoke Farm Accomplishments: Winning the 2021 Tyler Rose Horse Trial (Senior Beginner Novice). Anna & Roma “Mickey”  completed the event with 32.4 points. They are qualified and will compete in the 2021 American Equestrian Championships later this year.

Aside from the farm, Anna is a small/large animal Veterinarian and owns Vet on the Go. She is also an associate/relief vet for multiple practices in the DFW area.

Shawn Hailey, Co-Owner/Businessman

Shawn’s primary focus is the ABGA Registered Goat Operation. He enjoys the science of genetics, gestation, growth patterns and nutrition. He can be found competing at ABGA shows.     

Broken Spoke Farm Accomplishments: Winning the 2019 ABGA National 36+ Buck Class (KHBG1 Gangsters Paradise *ENNOBLED*), Senior Doe Exhibition National Champion (Redheadacres TL4 Kea Rio), and being part of the “Get of Sire” Reserve Championship.

Aside from the farm, Shawn is the Co-Founder/ COO of LineQuest, a Damage Prevention Company specializing in Line Locating & Hydro-Excavation.

Shane Fretwell, Manager

Shane has been with Broken Spoke Farm since 2019. He manages daily operations, property, and livestock.

Broken Spoke Farm Accomplishments: Winning the Overall Grand Champion Fullblood Doe w/ KITK1 RDO4 BLOWIN SMOKE at the 2020 Kiamichi Classic show.

Aside from the farm, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife Kayce and their daughter Stella. You can also find Shane participating in hunting, fishing, ATVs, racing and other outdoor activities.

Ross Duncan, General Laborer

Ross has been with Broken Spoke Farm since 2020. Starting on weekends, Ross is now a full time General Laborer on the Farm. His primary responsibilities are feed/care of the Livestock and property Landscape.   

Broken Spoke Farm Accomplishment: While working alone, Ross delivered the first goat kid of 2021. He then named her BSF14 Bella Rose.

Aside from the farm, Ross enjoys landscaping.

Penny Tucker, General Laborer

Penny has been working weekends at Broken Spoke Farm since 2020. Her primary responsibilities are Kidding/Show Goat care. With an extensive background working with showstock, Penny brings a wealth of knowledge to BSF.

Broken Spoke Farm Accomplishment: Penny pulled goat twin kids on 4/18/2021. She named them BSF14 Chocolate Chip & BSF14 Crazy Spot .

Penny is a 4 th Grade Teacher at Tioga Elementary, but enjoys working weekends at the farm!

Emery Hailey, Junior Assistant

Emery helps wherever needed on the farm. Some of the things she enjoys are: gardening, cleaning tack, horse lessons, feeding hay and horse treats.

Broken Spoke Farm Accomplishments: Winning her class (lead line) at Quail Run Farm. Emery alongside her trainer (Lucy Hackett) and pony Smokey were noted for having excellent riding ability and focus.

Aside from the farm, Emery enjoys gymnastics, fishing and playing with friends. She is a recent graduate of Tioga Kindergarten.
